Black & White Kitchen

An old family home being sympathetically restored to former glory’s is always a challenge to balance between traditional features and modern trends. Taking a full overall brief from our clients with regards their ongoing restoration work and continuing the Georgian feel to match existing sash windows and picture rail features from throughout the home, we designed a modern twist to compliment the overall family home environment.

Designed with the Schuller Uni-Gloss lacquered Crystal White range of furniture we incorporated large drawer storage solutions and grip-ledge handles to give a contemporary feel that balanced perfectly with the interior design features of this restoration. Bianco-Marble effect quartz worktops give a functional and stunning finish to this kitchen and the lava black lacquered silk-gloss planked panelling matched perfectly with our clients Farrow & Ball colour scheme.

Studio 35 undertook a full project management program on this project for our clients including new insulation to the joists between the basement and kitchen, laying new reclaimed planks, and undertaking full electrical, plumbing and plastering services before installing the stunning kitchen itself. We completed the look with our full decoration service including the repainting of existing glazed feature units and the lovely sideboard that now compliments perfectly with the Black & White colour scheme.
